Red Zebra Kebari
The Red Zebra Kebari is a minimalist yet deadly-effective fly, designed to imitate midge larvae and other small aquatic insects with precision. Tied in the traditional Futsu-style, it features a slim, segmented red body with fine black ribbing, mimicking the natural zebra midge profile while offering the durability and presentation control of tenkara design.
The upright hackle of the Futsu-style allows the fly to hold a consistent, lifelike silhouette in fast water and riffles, staying visible and properly oriented even in turbulent currents. Unlike Sakasa-style kebari, which rely on soft, forward-facing hackle for movement, the Red Zebra Kebari’s Futsu hackle offers a more controlled, static presence—ideal for precise drifts and slow takes.
